Every month the Den meeting will have a different theme aimed at completing one of the badge or arrow of light requirements. September will be "citizenship" and October will be "geology". Parents can choose a month and a subject to be a leader for during the first regular meeting in September. We'll work on communication skills and fitness/athlete achievements every month as part of the gathering activities.

General Information:
A scout becomes a Webelos Scout upon graduation from the Bear program in the spring of third grade. He has all summer to get started on Webelos activities. Boys new to Cub Scouting can become Webelos if they are 10 years old or have completed third grade, and have earned the Bobcat badge.

The Webelos badge is the fifth rank in Cub Scouting (coming after Tiger Cub, Bobcat, Wolf, and Bear.)  To earn a Webelos badge the scout must be active in his den for at least 3 months and complete the requirements. Webelos are expected to take more responsibility this year. For instance, a parent leader can't sign off an activity for thier own scout so Webelos get used to talking to other adults. Webelos gradually learn to plan their own outings and run their own meetings. Cubs are proud to earn the Webelos rank and receive the badge at a pack meeting.
